April 30th – 2 PM CET – Online meeting: CT-based migration analysis in a tibial implant compared to Radiostereometric analysis

Join us for our new IRSA Online Meeting on April 30th!

In order to stimulate academic sharing and social connection among members of the RSA Society we initiate a series of 1-hour online meetings where RSA research groups take turns presenting/sharing on different topics followed by a discussion.

Presenter: Lars Engseth, MD, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, Oslo University Hospital Ullevål, Norway.

Topic: CT-based migration analysis in a tibial implant compares to Radiostereometric analysis – 1-year results of a prospective single-group implant safety study

Radiostereometric analysis (RSA) is the gold standard for in-vivo migration analysis, but computed tomography (CT)-based alternatives have shown comparable results in the shoulder and hip. We have previously validated a CT-based migration analysis method (CT-RSA) in a knee phantom compared to RSA. In this study, we validated the method in a medial pivot total knee arthroplasty.
